Oscar Noms
Jan. 25th, 2011 11:46 pmSo Inception got 8 nominations. So did The Social Network. The King's Speech has 12 and True Grit has 10.
Generally the nominations are expected, except one of the actors in a leading role was a surprise for me. And Chris Nolan got snubbed in the directing nominations, though still nominated for Original Screenplay. Can't believe Inception didn't make it into Film Editing, while The Social Network did. The Social Network SUCKED at Film Editing. One major complaint was about how TSN jumped back and forth without any indication of time, while in Inception, you are clued to the fact if it is a dream or not.
Next comes the actual awards ceremony, I guess. TSN might sweep, but I doubt as dramatically as Slumdog Millionaire (which was a sucky movie) did.
