Sorry, it didn't blow me away. Wasn't as geeky as I had hoped too. There were fun parts, but I wasn't laughing because to laugh would be to affirm the blatant privilege that was smeared all over the film. OST was horrid, generally added nothing to the film. There were parts I liked, but I wouldn't run out and recommend it to anyone.

Simply, it wasn't as smart as I had hoped. Cuts were all over the place, out of place and jarring. Women were fodder, even disregarding the whole facemash thing. Depositions were only useful to tell the story, and had no other point in the story except to add tension. It wasn't even about the lawsuits. There were good shots of Jesse, Andrew and some of Justin, but the rest of the movie was just background noise. It was a half-hearted attempt between exploring relationships and exploring the environment. Where did the 98% come from? How is the movie quotable?

Why, why is it as disappointing as The Hurt Locker?

Two things made it bearable:
  1. Andrew Garfield as Eduardo Saverin. He is so HOT. I dislike him because he is going to do the Spiderman remake (WTH?), but I adore him as Eduardo Saverin. He is just so good. And hot, did I mention hot? He apparently has been in Doctor Who before, so I am gonna hunt down those episodes.

  2. Watching the entire movie for interactions between Mark and Eduardo. Their chemistry is good, and I adore the tension of the best friend turned adversary. They are just two guys who made their choices, willingly or not. Oh, plus geeky!Mark and hot!Eduardo on screen is a good combination.

Oh, and I dislike Facebook as much as ever, and I really hate the direction that the company has taken over the years.
