Time, Time, Time
May. 2nd, 2010 10:23 pmI hate arguing with my dad about time. His expectation is always so much higher than I can give, and I always feel so pressured after I speak with him. To be out late only once a week, how can I every achieve that? Quality time is my love language, so the only time I can afford now is after work. I love to spend time with people, simply talking or hanging out, because I know deeper workings are going on in that process (well, at least for me). How can I ever reach a compromise, and when will I stop feeling that my dad is not willing to let go?
University admission is another major issue in the family right now, cos my parent are "WHY HAVEN'T YOU SIGN UP YET?" and I am like "EXCUSE!EXCUSE!EXCUSE!". I think the most I can give SMU is one more week. God really reminded me today about putting myself under good leadership so that I may grow. To intentionally do so, to be discipled well, is something that I really want to do.
I need to:
- Know SMU's level of recognition on the States
- Understand NUS teaching style in FASS
God really dropped this in my heart today, is that fellowship is important because we learn a lot from the lives of others. Like Jie Hui said, life lessons doesn't come in a 3 point form format. Why wait to experience these lessons rather than to pick them up from others , then learn and conclude from it? Fellowship is essential and crucial, and is more than just having fun together.
Back to work tomorrow! I hope that my brain will think that my work is fun and interesting, if not I'll be bored to death.
