Visa craziness
May. 5th, 2012 01:21 amSo, my first visa got approved and got sent to my place. That is faster than I expected. But, when I opened my passport to check for details, horrors of horrors, they got the expiration date wrong. And given that it was already 11 pm when I checked, there is no way I can call the embassy to inform them of the mistake. And when I stare at it, all I can do is to rage and laugh at the same time.
Rage, because I planned my visa applications right down to the last detail, and it needs to fit the timeline, so that I can actually make my flight on 14 May. And the embassy screwed it up, and now I may face further delay if they cannot get their act together and solve the issues of both visa together. And I chose to go for prayer meet, which delayed my discovery of this issue. And I also prioritised going to LG over making payment for my second visa, which delayed my application time for my second appointment, and by the time I made the appointment, it was too late to schedule an emergency one. Yes, I have sent the embassy emails about both issues, and have opened cases for them.
Laugh, because I honestly can't believe that I thought I could do this without God. Both my visas are in a mess, and the only way I can come through intact in this whole mess is if it is in God's hands. I have taken it upon myself to plan every single step, and yet my methods and plans are all failing me. Only God can pull me through this crazy mess. choosing prayer meet and LG over this visa thing, I ultimately know that God will honour it.
Shall just lift it up to God, and see how this entire situation will turn out with Him.
