Easter 2012
Apr. 8th, 2012 03:19 pmThis Easter weekend has been a good one.
Bring my siblings and Zaki to the Easter service, it is definitely a different feeling. You start to care if the service is pre-believer friendly, and not just in an abstract way. You start to care whether the message meets their needs, touches them in their hearts. You begin to wonder if they get exactly what is going on, or is the jargon flying over their heads. You pray, relying on God to make sense of all these things, and for Him to grow the seed that has been planted, to guard the heart from weeds that may be growing.
I really experienced, how evangelism can show us a whole new side of God and His Kingdom. How it is so important that messages in church are not meant to be believer only, but both believer and pre-believer friendly.
Reaching out to the Youth side, I really experience how relationships in God's kingdom never die and fade away. No one are strangers or mere acquaintances. People who knew me in my teenage years came up to me and made effort to speak to my sister. People voluntarily took care of my brother, chose to spend time with my siblings and answer their question. Simply because they were my siblings and they are precious to God.
I am really experiencing the love of the cross this Easter, vertical and horizontal.
Sitting with Mel, and recounting all of this last night, God reminds me of His goodness. And the way He is working in all our lives, in the specific way that we need. I am discovering the power of constant prayer, all over again.
