Learning to appreciate fandom

One reason why I still love Glee is

Glee enables us to tell stories of our lives that otherwise wouldn't be heard. It lets us know that we are not alone, and even if we get angry at the show for being terribly written, we know that there are others out there who get angry for the same reason too. We know that when we are celebrating the small and big moments, there are people who are celebrating too.

This is true in all the fandoms I have been in - Supernatural, Harry Potter, Inception, Sherlock (BBC) and others. I love Glee because this is where I am right now, still working out my perspective on social issues and being educated about it.
