As a Kurt and Blaine fan, both individually and as a couple, I have thoughts.

I love Burt and Kurt's interaction this week. It is brilliant. Just, the pacing was really good.

For Kurt, his potential reactions are to react badly, to react well, or to get the role of Tony, or to focus on his senior class president run. Of course, any or all of this could happen together.

For Blaine, he can either step back and let Kurt get the role, or take up the role of Tony. Of course, it is always possible that neither of them get the role.

Glee most probably choice is that Kurt reacts badly and Blaine takes on the role, albeit reluctantly. I don't want that.

I would prefer Kurt to have a good reaction, and for Blaine to take up the role. Character development alert, Blaine has gone from expecting solos from the Warblers, to actually taking a step back in this audition. I am good either way, if Blaine chooses to take it or not. I love Blaine either way, because he loves performing so much, but he also loves Kurt alot. I just don't know if I want Blaine to take a step back solely for Kurt, and especially not if Kurt has a negative reaction to it. I want Blaine to be a character on his own, if possible.

As for Kurt, gosh, I really want him to react well, to take this sense of injustice and translate to his senior class president campaign. I want both of them to support each other in their role. Of course, I would also love for Kurt to get the role of Tony, maybe Blaine suggesting a reaudition. I want Kurt to take it, process it, talk over it with Blaine and decide it. It of course doesn't mean that he shouldn't be hurt. He can be, I wouldn't mind seeing that. I guess I just don't want him to bulldoze his way through to get what he wants.

Of course, character continuity also helps, cos Kurt has always been willing to give up his dreams for the one he loves. Ideally, Blaine would notice that and at least address the issue. But that is an ideal and this is Glee.

What is most important is that they talk about it. I don't want a fiasco that is BIOTA of season 2. I can take it if they are both right and angry with each other. I can take it if they are both right and are just refusing to see each other's point. What I cannot take is one of them being stupid. I don't care if they perceive it to be so, as long as it is not true.

Basically, I want Klaine endgame, without the stupid fighting. They want to fight, sure. They can even break up. But not over stupid things.

But they are in high school and this is Glee, so I don't have high expectations.

Of course, those spoilers of that new guy also don't help. Sebastian. If it is written well, I would look forward to it. But that picture still for next week really helps.
