allopenstarTHESE CRAZY KIDS, who once (and probably still) share the same fandom as me, make me so proud. Just, look at their small event in 2009, and the crazy spectacle they would encounter if they were to try the same thing in 2011. They would need a stage and everything. It really blows my mind, that they were ordinary fans, popular mostly among fans. It really struck me, because anyone could attend that con, and sat in that small gathering. Anyone at all, and they weren't special guests then. But now they are ALL so talented, the entire Starkid team.
I adore how Darren, when he performs now, always goes back to his Starkid roots, and then apologizes to those parts of the crowd who does not know what he is singing. Completely adorable, just like how he forgets lyrics to the super long songs that he writes. It is clear that he is simply enjoying the atmosphere, and he draws the audience in with his genuine behaviour.
They prove that with love, passion and talent, you will definitely not be overlooked.
