I love the title of Lady Gaga's upcoming album, Born This Way.

At first glance, you would think that it is a celebration of freedom, and being free to be whoever you want to be.

Then she says this:

The funny thing is that some people have reduced freedom to a brand. They think that it's trendy now to be free. They think it's trendy to be excited about your identity. When in truth, there is nothing trendy about Born This Way... Born This Way is about what keeps us up at night and what makes us afraid.

Have you ever been afraid of who you are? Who you know you really are? Born This Way is not all fun and games. It is also about the parts of ourselves we hide, the parts we deem too dark to share with anyone.

I am definitely getting the album when it comes out in May.
