Ugh, one of the things I hate the most about victim-blaming in rape culture is the tendency to blame any incident on the state of the victim's dress. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT PROVES THIS CORRELATION IS TRUE.

I am not going to give my kids of different gender different safety speeches. They are going to get exactly the same thing, while still contextualising for their age and group of friends they hangout with. I will do so by explicitly mentioning the different societal responses taught, and clearing it up for them. No such thing as the guy can stay out late, but the girl can't.
